The story of the FOKUS Church

The FOKUS Church was founded in 1991 by Peter and Renate Riedl and was known until 2021 as Christian Center Düsseldorf (CZD). In 2014, Bernhard and Febe Olpen came to Düsseldorf. In the following years, the FOKUS Church has particularly developed through strong impulses from the CREDO Church Wuppertal, the Hillsong network, and the Church on the Highlands (USA), and has brought forth a new generation of leaders.

A church has emerged from a classic local community that no longer identifies itself as bound to a single place, but is instead shaped by a multiplicative approach. In 2019, we began establishing a campus in Mönchengladbach, which was joined in the autumn of 2021 by the former Christian community of Mönchengladbach.
